Wayne Chen

Wayne is a qualified actuary and has consulted multinational financial services companies for over 10 years on risk management and strategy. He left management consulting firm Oliver Wyman in 2007 to co-found RiskFirst, a fintech business which provides world leading risk analytic platform to large corporate pension funds. This platform supports over 3,000 pension funds with over £1 trillion in assets and it was acquired by Moody’s Analytics in 2019.

As the markets began to recover from the 2007/08 financial crisis, Wayne acquired a substantial portfolio of residential property, ranging from high income yielding, single family lets, to high quality house shares aimed at young professionals. Having a portfolio focused in London and the South East has allowed him to build extensive relationships with local agents and a strong understanding of the local property markets.

Wayne applies his experiences in finance and risk management to ensure a rigorous approach is applied to every site appraisal and acquisition that Grow Property is involved in.

Giving back is incredibly important to Wayne - both to society and supporting his local community. He volunteers in a local charity providing free debt advice and is also a trustee of a charity providing shelter for homeless young people in London.
